Find all factors of 24

  1. Start with 1 × 24.
  2. Test whole numbers in order.
  3. Record each factor pair.

  1. Multiply 6 by 1, 2, 3, 4…
  2. Continue until you have enough multiples.

GCF

The largest factor shared by two or more numbers. For 18 and 24, the common factors are 1, 2, 3, and 6, so the GCF is 6.
